Đêm chung kết của cuộc thi Hoa hậu Botswana 2022 đã được tổ chức vào ngày 22/10/2022 tại Fairscape Precinct ở thủ đô Gaborone. Cuộc thi còn có sự hiện diện của đương kim Hoa hậu Thế giới – Karolina Bielawska đến từ Ba Lan.
The coronation night of Miss Botswana 2022 pageant was held on 22nd October 2022 at the Fairscape Precinct in Gaborone. The pageant was also attened by the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland.
Lesego Chombo đã đăng quang Hoa hậu Botswana 2022 và trở thành đại diện chính thức của Botswana tại cuộc thi Hoa hậu Thế giới lần thứ 71. Cô đã kế nhiệm và được trao vương miện bởi Palesa Mofele, lọt vào Top 40 tại cuộc thi Hoa hậu Thế giới 2022 được tổ chức tại Puerto Rico vào đầu năm nay.
Lesego Chombo was crowned Miss Botswana 2022 as she became the official representative of Botswana at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeded Palesa Mofele who was one of the Top 40 at the Miss World 2022 pageant held in Puerto Rico earlier this year.
Được xướng tên ở vị trí Á hậu 1 là Tshepo Nthaga, và Sebaga Manyapetsa được trao cho danh hiệu Á hậu 2.
Named as first runner-up is Tshepo Nthaga while Sebaga Manyapetsa is the second runner-up.
Lesego năm nay 24 tuổi và đến từ Maun. Cô có bằng luật của Đại học Botswana và hiện là luật sư hành nghề tại Tòa án Tối cao Botswana.
Lesego is 24 years of age and hails from Maun. She holds a law degree from the University of Botswana and is currently a practicing attorney at the High Court of Botswana.
Dự án nhân ái của Lesego Chombo được nhiều người đánh giá cao tại cuộc thi. Cô mong muốn tạo ra một môi trường thuận lợi cho sự phát triển của trẻ em kém may mắn. Lesego cũng tổ chức một chuyến đi chơi giải trí cho trẻ em có nhu cầu, nơi cô kiểm tra y tế, giới thiệu các hoạt động giáo dục về chơi nhạc cụ, các bài học nghệ thuật, và hơn thế nữa.
Chombo’s Beauty with a purpose Project was widely appreciated at the pageant. She aims to create a conducive environment for the development of underprivileged children. Chombo also hosted a recreational outing for children in need where she gave medical checks, educational activities introduction to instrument playing, art lessons, and more.
Botswana vẫn chưa giành được vương miện Hoa hậu Thế giới. Vị trí cao nhất của đất nước này là vào năm 2010 khi Emma Wareus cán đích ở vị trí Á hậu 1, năm Hoa hậu Alexandria Mills của Mỹ đăng quang.
Botswana is yet to win the Miss World crown. The highest placement of the country was back in 2010 when Emma Wareus finished as first runner-up to USA’s Alexandria Mills.
