Rose Meléndez bested 14 other candidates to win the title of Miss Universe Honduras 2021 and became the official representative of Honduras at Miss Universe 2021.

In 2016, Rosa represented Limon and competed against 17 other candidates to win the crown of Miss Honduras Ébano 2016. She became the fourth woman to hold this title.
