Hrafnhildur is 18 years of age, hails from Reykjavík and a student at the Commercial College of Iceland (Verzlunarskóli Íslands). In the future, she wishes to go on to study medicine after graduation and become a doctor. She loves to travel and see and experience new, exotic and exciting places. Her hobbies include figure skating, skiing, snowboarding, and traveling.

Iceland has yet to win the Miss Universe title since its debut in 1956. Its highest placement was first runner-up in 1962 with Anna Geirsdóttir. Lately, Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir, the first biracial woman to win Miss Universe Iceland, finished in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2019.
