Sự kiện công bố đại diện của Vương quốc Anh tại cuộc thi Miss Grand International 2022 vừa được tổ chức tại Box Soho Theatre of Varieties, ở London, vào ngày 17 tháng 7.
United Kingdom representative at Miss Grand International 2022 announcement event was held at the Box Soho Theatre of Varieties, in London, on July 17th.
The first Miss Grand United Kingdom is Sofia Mayers. She was crowned by Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên – Miss Grand International 2021. Teresa Chaivisut, vice-president of MGI, also attended the event.
Sofia Mayers is 23 years old, a marketing and sales executive from Kent, England.
Cho đến năm ngoái, Anh, Scotland và Wales đã cử đại diện riêng biệt đến Miss Grand International. Tuy nhiên, bây giờ dưới sự tổ chức của giám đốc quốc gia mới – Kathryn Fanshawe, từng là Miss Grand Wales năm 2020, thì sẽ chỉ có một ứng cử viên từ Vương quốc Anh sẽ tranh tài.
Until last year, England, Scotland, and Wales sent representatives to MGI separately, however, now under the organization of the new national director Kathryn Fanshawe, who was Miss Grand Wales in 2020, only one candidate from the United Kingdom will compete.
Trong sự kiện này, bà Teresa Chaivisut thông báo các thí sinh lọt vào Top 10 của Miss Grand International sẽ ở lại Indonesia để tham gia chuyến tham quan truyền thông kéo dài khoảng một tuần. Nhân kỷ niệm 10 năm thành lập, MGI sẽ trao vương miện cho tất cả 10 thí sinh chung kết.
During the event, Mrs. Teresa Chaivisut announced that the candidates who placed in the Top 10 of Miss Grand International would remain in Indonesia for the media tour, which will last for about one week. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, MGI will give crowns to all 10 semi-finalists.
